Welcome to the Livetecs TimeLive newsletter for October 2011.

In this issue, we are proud to announce the release of our next major upgrade for TimeLive: version 4.2.

Now, you can track time anywhere, anytime, more effectively and more efficiently, thanks to a suite of new features and enhancements in TimeLive.

In 2011, Livetecs canvassed our broad customer base to enquire about improvements they would like to see in TimeLive. The new features, functions and improved performance of TimeLive v4 are based on feedback and requests for enhancements to the system we received from you, our valued customers.

Version 4 sees a whole host of new features and functionality added to the already proven and easy-to-use TimeLive solution. Some of the major enhancements include:

  • (New) TimeLive Webservices / API (SOAP based) to automate and integrate hosted downloadable version of TimeLive.
  • (New) QuickBooks Integration Tool. A separate downloadable QuickBooks integration tool for integrating TimeLive with Quickbooks
  • (New) TimeLive is now migrated to .Net Framework 4 (ASP.Net 4)
  • (New) Major performance improvement in almost all areas
  • (New) New TimeLive Reports Project Team Report and Project Task Employee Report
  • (New) TimeLive default database engine installed with TimeLive installer is now changed to free "Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express R2"
  • (New) Email Notifications: Four new types of TimeLive email notifications

    1. Major performance improvements in time entry.
    2. Expense Sheet Design: TimeLive new expense entry design allows users to submit their multiple expenses in single expense sheet. User can then submit those expense sheets for approval.
    3. Copy Expense Sheet: New copy expense sheet link in my expense sheet allows user to create a copy of already entered expense sheet.
    4. New Reports and report datasource: New time entry report has been added with name "Time Entry Period" for getting reports on period basis. A new datasource with name "Time Entry Period" has also been added.
    5. Expense sheet report: New expense sheet report allow user to see expense sheet based reports.
    6. Print Expense Sheet: New print expense sheet button allow user to print their expense sheet.
    7. Custom Reports now allow users to define headers, footers and title of report.
    8. New Preferences option name "Show Parent Task Name in Time Entry" which enable showing parent task name with task name in task dropdown in timesheet.
    9. Mileage rate for expense sheet: Administrator can set pre-defined mileage rate for reporting mileage based expenses in expense sheet from Admin Options-->Expenses. Administrator can also enable/disable editing of this mileage rate in expense sheet by user who is submitting expense sheet.
    10. (Fixed) Issues related to multi-currency expenses in "Invoicing" has been fixed
